It's been awhile since I have sailed close to the holiday season. When do they normally start putting up Christmas/Holiday decorations. Just thinking if its when we are sailing in November it might be nice to get some good family pictures with the decor. Thanks everyone

Christmas decorations are usually up after Thanksgiving and thru New Years. So you should see them if you take any cruise in December. You should be able to find plenty of decorated places for pictures. Also, they may have some special backgrounds for portrait pictures. On our last family Christmas cruise, we had everyone wear black, white, or red t-shirts. Don't forget to bring Santa hats or other props you want in your pictures.

Depending on the ship you are on, it may or may not be decorated in November. They usually start around mid november (the saturday before Thanksgiving) and finish during the 1st or 2nd week of December (as late as Dec 14th some years). A schedule should come out in September with the dates for each ship.

Where can I go to find the list of ships and when they'll be decorated? We're on the Glory for Thanksgiving, and it would be great if the decoration were already up. They were two years ago on the Legend for Thanksgiving!

Thanks!

This was posted by John Heald "Well, it’s September 23rd and that means it is time to talk about Christmas. Yep will be coming to our ships and during the weekend of November 28th and by December 3rd the entire Carnival fleet will have Christmas trees and the vessel will be decorated and the holly and the ivy will adorn the Promenade Decks and Atriums"................

By the above information it looks like the decorating will not begin until the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
