when we sent our carryon thru the scanner the "person' was saying something like "have can contents checked at back table", or something similar. it was in such a mono tone like he was just reading a card that I didn't pay any attention, picked up our bags and walked on to the ship. I did notice a table to the left that had some people having their bags checked and I guess I was also supposed to have mine checked but oh well.

I was not singled out by anyone so we just went about our business
