Quebec Pier Area Safety, Wharf 30

We are scheduled to spend our Quebec overnight on Wharf 30. This would be the spot at the upper end of the Quebec piers not far from the marina off rue Abraham-Martin.

Walking back to the ship up rue Dalhousie is probably secure, but what if you approach the wharf from the Gare-Palais? As you "google walk" up these paths it just seems a bit industrial and, without business operations at night, feels it could be a tad deserted on this (probably) less used route.

Anyone with education or experience about this passage? Advices are all welcomed.

Merci
