lisahh Posted September 25, 2005 #1 Share Posted September 25, 2005 We are going to be taking the Costa Victoria, leaving from Venice on October 17th. Is anyone else taking this cruise? Any ideas on getting from hotel in Venice to the dock where the ship is? We're hoping there are porters to meet a water-taxi, as we are traveling with two young kids. Thanks!:)
mamabelleuk Posted October 10, 2005 #2 Share Posted October 10, 2005 Make your way to Piazzale Roma by waterbus. From the square you can take either a Costa Coach to the port, or a road taxi (approximate cost €10 but depends on numbers and the amount of luggage) From the waterbus stop at Piazzale Roma, walk left about 6 yards and turn right up shallow steps in to the square. For coaches bear left and from memory, Costa Coaches park at bay D. For Taxis, bear right and follow the yellow chevron painted on the ground which will take you to the taxi rank. You may also take a water taxi from your hotel to the cruise ship dock (called Tronchetto) This may be your best option because porterage is hard to come by in Venice! Water taxis do tend to be expensive! I hope this helps!:)
