honeymoon06 Posted September 25, 2005 #1 Share Posted September 25, 2005 My fiance and I are going to book the coral princess cruise for our honeymoon december next year. Its the partial transit of the panama canal. These cabins appear to be available: caribe deck: 307 308 309 310 426 427 501 502 624 637 Emerald deck: 624 625 Can anyone advise if these rooms are worthwhile. And which decks are the best and worst to be situated on? Thanks for your help!
DesrtDrmr Posted September 25, 2005 #2 Share Posted September 25, 2005 Caribe Deck cabins with balconies have the biggest balconies, which are half covered and half uncovered. The balconies on the corners of the bump outs have great views, but can be totally seen by the cabins that are not on the bump out, but are next to them. For example, we had handicapped cabin C633 on the Island (same deck plan as the Coral), and we could see C637's entire balcony...........and they could see ours. I would not book that cabin again because of that. I need a handicapped cabin, but would book C627 next time, because of the lack of privacy. The bigger balconies are not on the bump outs, however the people on the bump outs can see further foreward or aft because the bump outs are not in the way! :) I don't know if those two emerald deck cabins would have their forward view blocked by the lifeboats or not, but it looks like that might be the case. Hopefully, someone who has been in those cabins will post. Whichever cabin you have, I know you'll have a wonderful time. The Island was a beautiful ship, as I'm sure the Coral is, and we loved the partial transit of the Panama Canal when we were on that cruise to celebrate an anniversary. It was so interesting, and the islands were lovely, too. Much happiness to you!
