crazycruzer68 Posted September 15, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 15, 2015 Are these cabins the same size as regular balcony cabin?
k2excursion Posted September 15, 2015 #2 Share Posted September 15, 2015 Yes. The indoors part is exactly the same. The balcony part of the cove is 10 sq.ft. larger than the standard balcony: 45 instead of 35.

k2excursion Posted September 24, 2015 #5 Share Posted September 24, 2015 Do you know of any noise issues ? Yukontrails Yes, about half of the coves are below the galley (aka kitchen). Some people who have stayed below the galley have reported noise from above late into the overnight. There are some rooms below the galley that will be fine, but some will have noise from above. It's a gamble. Those rooms go from the midship elevators to the aft elevators. Stay forward of the midship elevators, and you'll be fine. Being below the dining room is the most perfect spot on the whole ship. It's totally empty all night long, which cannot be said for any other spot on the ship. Even when the dining room is in use, the carpeting cuts out most (if not all) of the noise. I have stayed below the dining room twice.
cruising maniac Posted September 24, 2015 #6 Share Posted September 24, 2015 You can check the cabin that you are interested in on http://www.cruisedeckplans.com and it will tell you if there are any complaints about noise for that cabin. No matter what cabin we pick, I always take ear plugs.
smyliecruising Posted September 24, 2015 #7 Share Posted September 24, 2015 We stayed in the coves. I always carry earplugs but have never had to use them. We had neighbors one time that had fights late at night so now I always bring them! I also downloaded an app to my phone that plays white noise. It sounds like a fan.
