KenP Posted September 18, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 18, 2015 As a t-mobile customer, i noticed that they announced Sep 16 2015 that the Bahamas are now included in their 140 countries Simple Global Plan. This includes 20 cents per minute voice, free texts, and free slow internet data (128 Kbps). No extra monthly fee and no signup required for Simple Choice customers. I've used this service in mexico and honduras and it served my limited needs for communication well while on vacation. has anybody tried t-mobile's new plan in the Bahamas yet? How is the coverage? arlo46 Posted October 15, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 15, 2015 I too am interested in actual experience with T-Mobile in Caribbean. What is real world reception situation for texting and data under their free text, free data and 20 cent per minute calls? We will be visiting islands of Aruba, Curacao, Grenada, Barbados, St. Lucia, Antigua, St. Kitts and St. Maarten.
amandamarie00 Posted October 20, 2015 #3 Share Posted October 20, 2015 I haven't used my service in the Caribbean yet, but I did in Panama for a month this summer. The reception was pretty good in most places, I usually had 3-4 bars. Most places had 3G, a few had Edge, and only the most remote areas had no signal at all.
