Hawaiian taxi advice

Hello, anyone recently back from the 7 day Pride of Aloha? I was wondering how much a taxi would be from the pier at Honolulu to Hanauma Bay would be. Also, can anyone suggest a good beach of hotel to hang out at in Kaua'i, and is so, how much would transportation be there?

It would cost $15-20 from the pier to Waikiki. When we got a van taxi (we had 6 people) to go from a Waikiki hotel to Hanauma Bay, it was $40 (about 36-37 plus tip).

 

Can consider renting a car, but will need to go to H Bay early to get a parking spot.
