Derek King Posted September 28, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 28, 2015 I was hoping for some insight on a cruise just booked last week. My wife and I plus our kids (ages 2 & 4) are in connecting rooms on the summit for next year. since we are connecting we did the two of us in the one room with the drink package and the kids in the connecting room with the $300 OBC from celebrity. My question is how do we best use the kids OBC. They have $400 (including the $100 from recent promo) from celebrity and $260 from the TA. So total of $660. We will probably do an excursion or two. question is can we pay for the 4 of us on the room? next if my wife and I want spa services can we charge to the kids room? same question about shopping Duty free, etc. ? I know from these boards and the TA that the $260 is refundable so I guess we only need to use the $400 from X. The other option is we can opt for the free gratuities for them instead of the $300. I just hate to leave the $118 on the table so I really want to make sure to understand how we can best use the OBC. Anyone else have experience with this? Thanks! AntjeG Posted September 28, 2015 #2 Share Posted September 28, 2015 (edited) There should be no problem using the OBC for everything you wish. Simply connect the on board accounts of both cabins at check in. If your and your wife´s and your children´s accounts all go with the same credit card and you all have the same booking number all expenses from both cabins count for the OBC and your credit card. If you don´t have free gratuities the OBC can also be used to pay those. I have not yet connected different accounts on Celebrity but on some other lines. No cruise line so far had a problem either connecting accounts which had the same booking number or separating them (so my friend in the same cabin and I had each our own account even with the same booking number). All I had to do is tell the people at check in how we wanted the accounts to be handled. Edited September 28, 2015 by AntjeG
FRMPEI Posted September 28, 2015 #3 Share Posted September 28, 2015 Real simple just use one of their SeaPasses when you purchase something onboard. Check their stateroom TV for the current balance left. Regards, Kevin Reid

wallie5446 Posted September 28, 2015 #5 Share Posted September 28, 2015 (edited) FYI, If you have some that goes unused, you can go to the casino cashier and for a 5% fee draw against your cabin. Any OBC will be taken first before they charge your credit card. We will have just over $1000 in OBC after cashing in our Celebrity Visa points in Nov.
