crown princess cabin selection help

Hi. We are planning on sailing on the Crown Princess out of San Juan, Nov. 4, 2006. I am assuming the balconies on the Caribe deck are the largest. In light of that we are gearing for the Caribe deck. We have a hold on cabin C423 and C425, which are located right next to the panoramic lifts. We need a quad interior and this was the only location in the center of the ship on this deck. There are 2 other cabins available C715 and KK 717 located aft on the same deck. My only concern is due to the panoramic lifts would C423 and C425 pick up a lot of noise outside the cabin from say 10 pm to 7 am? We have stayed in an aft balcony on the Mariner of the Sea and didn;t have any problem with seasickness, but I didn't really like how far we had to walk to the elevator. The price for the cabins is only about $300 difference. With the aft cabins being cheaper.

Mom of 6- We are booked on the Crown for our 1st B2B in Nov/Dec out of San Juan. We have sailed twice (soon to be 3) on the Caribbean Princess (almost same deck plan) and have been on Lido, aft Baja and soon to be Emerald mini. I really don't know about the noise factor near the panoramic elevators, but I'm guessing it might be a problem. From our experience, I really enjoy the back of the ship. Reasons are: The aft elevators seem to be less busy with very little wait time. I have read some cruisers complain about long waits at other elevators. Also the aft elevators exit in between the Horizon Court and Cafe Caribe, and offer easy access to the aft pool where we spent most of our time. They also go directly down to the Palm Dining Room if you have Anytime Dining. We had no problem with motion on the aft and the walk to the aft elevators is very short. Now it is quite a ways to the casino, but it never bothered us!

Now I'm really confused. I spoke with a travel agent again today. I keep getting different opinions. She said she thought the newer ships were so well soundproofed that you wouldn't pick up much outside noise. We aren't late night partiers, but I thought it might be more convenient to be next to the panoramic elevators. I do have two other rooms on hold aft of the ship. I have about 5 days to make a decision. Thanks for your input.
