CM2J2R2S Posted October 29, 2005 #5 Share Posted October 29, 2005 So far, it looks like booked transportation will cost our party of eight $68USD from the Amerisuites to FLL airport. Anybody have any idea how much a cab (or two) would cost? Melissa

A taxi from AmeriSuites to FLL is less than $15 each (the rates recently went up, but it's somewhere around there), you'll need a minimum of 2. CM2J2R2S Posted October 30, 2005 #7 Share Posted October 30, 2005 Hi Trent, So glad you posted! I am pretty sure now that we are staying at Amerisuites. The last bit of investigation was around shuttles. Both HI Air/Seaport and ASuites start their shuttles at 6am and we have to leave at 5am. I was just wondering what cabs would cost. By staying at Amerisuites, all we are really giving up is the port shuttle and for three cabs, it may end up being $30 - and then shuttles to the airport - which we need either way.... so Amerisuites is certainly much more cost effective. Thanks for all your help. Melissa
TrentS Posted October 30, 2005 #8 Share Posted October 30, 2005 You may also try Holiday Inn Express "Convention Center". According to their website their airport shuttle is 24 hours, and even though the other one calls itself "air/seaport", the "convention center" one is much closer to both the airport, port, and in a MUCH better neighborhood... http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/ex/1/en/hd/fllcc Holiday Inn Express "Convention Center" and AmeriSuites are only a few blocks apart.
