[The Big Booper]

Today dawned all foggy and overcast, I guess typical weather for the city. We had a combo tour booked thru the ship, Muir Woods and Sausalito. We chose the early trip to leave time to see the city in the afternoon after the bus left us off at the ship.

 

The bus headed over the fabled Golden Gate Bridge and we were off.

 

 

Eventually after winding thru the hilly roads we arrived at the Muir Woods, home of the large redwoods.

 

 

We had 90 minutes to tour the facility on our own.

Here some more pictures of this most impressive forest.

 

This tree fell across the walking path and gives a close up of how big they are. We were instructed to never leave the path.

There were several carved wooden bears.

This appeared to be an area with dead trees. Fire? Blight.

 

 

 

Of course we had to get a picture of this tree.
