Aft Cabin

Just read where some of you say the aft cabins are best. Is this because the size of the balcony is larger? I just booked #6093 on Insignia for next September rather than something more midship. It is one of the cabins sandwiched between the two owner's suites. Is there much movement or noise being completely aft? Thanks for the info. I am learning so much from this website.

Be prepare to be distrubed by the engine noise/vibration almost every morning when the ship docks at dawn. Some find this acceptable though.

I don't know how we missed it but we have never been awakened by noise or vibration in 7114 ("our" cabin) nor have I heard any other passenger mention being disturbed in the aft cabins.

We love cabins 7116 and 7121 and haven't heard any noise either. But you have to stop asking questions, we want to keep them a secret.

We always get 6091 and have never heard any disturbing engine noise or vibration when the ship docks in am..

 

but then again, as Sheila said, this is a secret..so shhhhhhhhhh;)

On our recent cruise on Regatta we became friendly with the American couple in 6091 and they did find they were affected by vibration when the ship docked in the morning. Didn't spoil their cruise though!

Thanks for the info. I appreciate your opinions. I think I'll stick with #6093. We're up early, anyway, so I doubt if any noise or vibrations will bother us. Everything is a trade-off; at least we'll have a beautiful view.
