We just returned yesterday, and I can tell you that when we went to Maya Key last Tuesday it was horrible. There was so much garbage in the water, that no one went swimming. they said the garbage had just come in, but we find that hard to believe. We got to the island around 9:30 and they didn't start to try and clean it up until we all complained. By the end of the day there were barrels filled with trash, and there was more in the water. Luckily the pool was beautiful and we spent the day there. The excursion says 3 hours, but we spent all day there. The lunch was god,but you can only fill your plate once. It is not all you can eat. We just wish the water had been clean, because this would have been a lovely place to spend the day.

Yaou, did the service issues on the ship improve? We will be at Maya Key on 12/1. Hope they can clean up by then.

I was on that same cruise and totally agree with your review, especially about Maya Chan and Little French Key. This ship needs more staff, and some friendlier ones to boot. Good review.

I was on the Star last week and did not experience the drastic service issues references. It was very clear that the staff are working hard and changes are being made to mitigate the issues.

 

Dinner reservations can be made in advance by logging into your NCL.com account or calling.

Look for a recent cruise's roll call page and ask there. They give out lists at the meet and greet. Maybe someone took one.
