Question-Making C&A Diamond status during a cruise

We will become Diamond while on a cruise (will have 9 credits before cruise, taking a 7 day cruise in a JS, giving us 11 credits upon completion). If this has happened to others, were you treated as a Diamond C&A while on that cruise? Thank you.

Yes, it has happened to us. We had 9 cruises when we embarked on our 12 day cruise which was worth 2 points.

 

No, they did not consider us Diamond and we did not get the Diamond perks. RCI says you must complete 10 cruises.

It just happened to me last week. I completed my 10th cruise while on the Voyager. My card said Platinum...I was treated as Platinum. I was upgraded to Diamond after completion of that cruise.

It never hurts to ask. Approach the Loyalty Ambassador and graciously ask for a preview of the perks. Worked for us!
