Voyager-class Cabin question

Recommended Posts

Has anyone ever sailed in the "large ocean view" cabins? It looks like there are only a few of them on the ship. The cruise line lists them as 211 sq. ft. vs. an inside cabin which is 160 sq. ft.; the price difference is only a couple of hundred $ so I'm trying to figure out if it's worth it to upgrade.

Thanks!!

We have been on several of the Voyager class ships. The balcony suites are on several decks. Although they are 206 for superior the others are 184 and they both seem spacious which is probably more perception then reality. I like the showers on this class they are enclosed sliding doors which form a circle rather then the typical curtians. Still never enough drawer space and there are only two of us. The luggage fits under the bed though just have to lift a little. We didn't use the balcony that much though. The morning light sometimes is a plus unless you plan on sleeping in then the inside have the advantage. Some folks don't lik ethe dark or enclosed room.

This class also has three decks (6, 7, 8) with bay windows that looks out over the promenade which is in the center of the ship ( a mall area). We have been in both Balcony & the promenade inside and don't notice the loss of 20 or so square feet. For us there is a lot of truth to the fact you sleep and dress in the cabin.

Don't miss the Ice Show. We are back on the Mariner again in November 2005
