Attention Those Going To Nassau

Even if you can only spare an hour or so to walk through, you must go check out Atlantis!! We had a couple of hours in the evening to kill so we took a cab over ($4 a person). Wow! The decor is breath-taking. Be sure and check out all of the subtle details. The artwork is amazing.

 

If you have the munchies, the grille just off the casino has really good food, reasonably priced. And some great high-end shopping there as well.

 

If you are really taken with the place, for $16 you can get a dvd that shows how the place was built and the whole story behind it. Very interesting.

 

The cab drivers do drive like maniacs and ours offered us drugs, but he stopped when we declined. Cabs will take you right to the door and are available any time. Water taxi only runs till 6:00 pm and drops off a ten minute walk from the door.

Even walking around the villas at sunset was quite a sight. Then we walked along the "seawalk" back to the main building. Then over to the Marina for ice cream. Quite an experience!

We are planning on going next December when we go. We missed it on our first trip. I can hardly wait.:D

We spent the day at Atlantis in August. It was awesome! It was the best day of our cruise! We paid for a room at the Comfort suites across the street and were allowed full access to the Atlantis! An unforgettable day! :D
