Upgrade Dilemma

Hi Everyone! We are sailing on Mille next year in Europe. Have been lucky enough to nab one of those fabulous 2C staterooms toward the front of the ship with the 'extra' large balconies. We have 3 booked side by side so very excited. However - and this is where the question takes an unusual turn - we are all Captains Club - and while it doesn't often happen - what if we get upgraded?!?!?! Fact of the matter is (and as ungrateful as it sounds ..) we don't want to be!! We chose these cabins for a reason. Is it untoward to ask Celebrity to make a note NOT to upgrade????

 

Anyone have similar experiences???

Call your TA and ask them to notify Celebrity that you and your group do NOT want an upgrade. You don't sound ungrateful at all! :D

Your chances of being upgraded are very slim.. especially in your category.

 

Celebrity's revenue system doesn't work like that of Princess.

 

I have to fight for every upgrade for my clients.. and it's usually a knockdown dragged out fight!

 

Upgrades are down on those who are booked in guarantees.. not assigned cabins.

In the past, X has always called me before making any changes in room assignment. Tell your TA as they will call them first. They might check, if they do all you have to do is say no

Pardon me for laughing (and I really do love Celebrity) but your chances of being upgraded on Celebrity are slim to none.

We recently booked an inside guarantee (category 12 or better) on Zenith and were upgraded to an ouside (category 5) cabin. I thought that was pretty impressive.
