binbali Posted January 15, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 15, 2016 Can anybody who has done this tour tell me how many people they take on this tour? We prefer smaller groups to large coach style bus tours.
xlxo Posted January 15, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 15, 2016 Keep in mind... there are 3 pre/post-cruise tours to choose from. City Highlights Peak & Canyon Sea to Sky http://vancouvertours.com/tour/pre-cruise-vancouver-city-tour/ I typically see the mini-coaches seen at this link... http://vancouvertours.com/private-charters/ You might want to give them a call to share you concerns. Rare martincath Posted January 18, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 18, 2016 I believe that the 24 seat minibuses are the largest vehicles that LandSea have (they also have 11 seater luxury buses and large SUVs for private charter tours). Worth factoring in when comparing with cruiseline offerings, which usually involve chartering a full size 46+ seater coach. Plus, LandSea obviously price in Canadian dollars which makes them a comparative steal right now! NB: depending on your flight time (I assume since you're looking at the pre-post excursions this is for day of [dis]embarkation?) you may find that combining a HOHO and luggage storage gives you more flexibility at a significant discount, especially for post-cruise since you can have your bags shipped to the airport for $40 (first 4; $10 per extra) from the pier. Then HOHO tix run about $40pp, which allow you to get off at many more stops than LandSea or anyone else's coach tours. A cab to the airport at the end of your days touring is c. $35, so for a couple you end up spending about the same as 2 LandSea tix - but if you take SkyTrain for $4pp (less if you're seniors, or it's after 6:30pm, or a weekend) you can save enough to buy lunch easily.
