elycelynne Posted January 17, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2016 (edited) Assuming that I keep my hotel reservation at the Holiday Inn Express Airport South in Dania Beach, I have a couple of questions. First, is the Oakwood Plaza movie theater a far enough distance from there to make it worthwhile to call a cab? Secondly, I know that there's a bus that runs along Federal Highway. If I decide to get adventurous and go to the Aventura Mall, is that bus route a safe one? Edited January 17, 2016 by elycelynne
DanJ Posted January 17, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 17, 2016 That hotel is on Federal Highway, right? Yes, you would definitely want to take a cab to Oakwood Movie theaters. It's a couple or 3 miles away.
luv2travel06 Posted January 18, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 18, 2016 We often stay at a hotel on Stirling Rd close to that movie theater. We would not recommend walking there from your hotel. You may want to consider renting a car at the airport when you arrive. You can drive where you want to go, return it to the airport, then take the hotel shuttle from the airport to the hotel. $30 or so for a 1 day rental give you a lot of freedom. elycelynne Posted January 18, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted January 18, 2016 If I did, I would indeed have rented a car and not have had to worry about buses or taxis. I'm well aware that it provides a lot more freedom.
fireofficer5 Posted January 18, 2016 #5 Share Posted January 18, 2016 (edited) The #1 goes to the Aventura mall. $2 each way. There is a movie theatre at the mall too. Its about a six mile ride. I ride it occasionally, but get off at Gulfstream Race track. If you are so bold, the #1 runs from the airport south to your hotel.
