We are staying at the Sheraton Old San Juan on a Tuesday night.

 

A few years ago we stayed there & went to Latin Roots (right behind the Sheraton) & they had a great band & salsa dancing. Latin Roots was closed down when we were there last February though.

 

We are looking for some nightlife/live music. I googled live music in San Juan & found Nuyorican Cafe.

 

Any suggestions?

I'm not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for but I have enjoyed Carli's for drinks and live music. Click Here for a link. When I've been there it is on the line of mellow jazz.

It's been a few years, but Nuyorican Cafe is a fun spot for salsa. It's loud and very lively, and the night I was there, they offered free lessons to newbies before things really got started.
