Self-Drive Mini Power Boats Excursion

Has anyone done the self-drive mini power boats excursion on St. Thomas? We're thinking about doing it but wanted to see if anyone had done it before. Thanks!

We just got back from our cruise and did this tour. We really enjoyed it. The boats are a lot of fun. Wish we could have driven around a little more. And you stop to snorkel in a little protected cove. The snorkeling is really easy. There are lots of colorful, smaller fish and coral. I also saw a stingray and someone else in the group saw a turtle. I think those are hit or miss in the deeper water but the shallower area feels like an aquarium. And the crew was alot of fun too. We would recommend the tour.

We were with a couple who took this tour. It was somewhat of a rough day. They hit a wave, the wife went flying up - and - down and crushed a vertebrae in her back. Had to be airlifted back to states. Just be careful!

We did the mini boats probably 7 years ago. A fun day on the water BUT you will need to be able to pull yourself back into the boat at your snorkeling stops. My husband not only had to heave me back in the boat but helped some other ladies too.

Yes, you do need to climb a ladder back into the boats. But the crew and other people on the tour were right there to help anyone that need it.
