WeiMin Posted January 21, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 21, 2016 Want to share my experience about using local Indonesian SIM cards in Komodo Island. My cruise Holland America - Volendam docked at Tanjong Priok and a free shuttle provided by the ship brought us to a shopping center nearby. Bought a "XL" brand SIM card which worked well in all the ports except Komodo. If you want to use data and make calls in Komodo, then you must buy a Telkomsel card. This is the only card that works. Price wise, both are about the same low price USD 10 for 2GB and some calls and SMS.
