tripman Posted October 7, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 7, 2005 I just saw a program about cruise ships on the travel channel. There was a short segment on the Norwegian Star. It said the ship had 25 decks. 25 DECKS? That must be a mistake (clearly because the deck plans show only 4-14). So why did it say that?

CruisinMK Posted October 7, 2005 #3 Share Posted October 7, 2005 probably considering fore and aft of each floor as a deck
SeattleCruiselover Posted October 7, 2005 #4 Share Posted October 7, 2005 There are non-passenger decks, but, last I heard 14 was it for the Star, and I was just aboard 2 weeks ago.
tripman Posted October 7, 2005 Author #5 Share Posted October 7, 2005 I realize there are decks for crew/storage/engines/etc...but 25 total decks?!?! I wonder why they would say that
vavip Posted October 7, 2005 #6 Share Posted October 7, 2005 It's speed is 25 knots so maybe they screwed up with the report. :-)
