Carnival Legend Internet

I've been looking around and i can't seem to find any answers on how the internet works on the legend via the Australia/Newzealand sails. There is plenty of talk about how the americans receive internet but none for how Australian/Newzealand cruisers receive it.

 

So my questions are;

- Is the internet/wifi free?

- Are there packages you need to purchase?

- If so, what are the packages, what's included and how much($) are they?

- Are you only able to connect to the internet in public places or will it reach your stateroom?

- What's the best way to use the internet. (phone, tablet, laptop, ect.)

To answer your questions the packages avail in US based ships are not available here. So no $5 a day unlimited

 

Where is no free internet on board

 

Internet on Legend and Spirit is charged at $0.75 a minute

 

There are packages the more minutes you buy the cheaper it gets. Downside is what you don't use you lose, no refunds or carry over to a future cruise

 

You can either use the computers onboard or your own device as long as it can connect wirelessly.

 

Coverage is supposed to be anywhere onboard but realistically like your mobile service you will find the odd black spot

 

As far as package pricing maybe someone who has cruised recently can assist, from memory if you brought 400 minutes you pay about $200

Thanks for your response stingau.

My main use of the Internet was for my partner to message her parents in the morning and night. Just to let them know how the trip is going.

I don't need the Internet as I need a break from my phone haha.
