Lamanai with Private tour group

Hello to all the best Cruisers out there! I need some advice (and yes I will post this in the shore excursion section too) :)

My husband and I want to do the Lamanai excursion while in Belize with our 3 kids and his parents. I am a bit worried about not making the ship and decided to do it with RCCL. However, they are already booked up. I really don't want to do any of the other 3 Mayan excursions after reading reviews of all four, so I started looking at private tour groups.

1) Who would you suggest using? (I see good reviews of Lamanai Belize Tours)

2) Is there a way to get on a tender faster when you don't book your trip through RCCL? I hear those booked with them get on first, but other people say anyone can go. I know last time we booked with RCCL we tendered from Grand Cayman. We had an excursion booked with RCCL, but I don't remember if they checked my paperwork to see if I was booked with them when I got on.

Thank you ahead of time for any advice given!

to begin tendering in Belize is different from most portsas we use large local boats to tender quickly.

We did this tour 2 years ago after being to Belize many times, very wel organized excellent tour no problem catching the last tender from shore

we booked through http://www.belizecruiseexcursions.com and have since referred several friends to this trip and it did not disappoint!!!:D
