In Rome Saturday and Sunday. Want to see Sistine but closed Sunday. If we take ship tour on Saturday so we see Sistine, what are suggestions for Sunday if we want to be on our own? Train/bus from port and then what once we are in old Rome?Or should we take ship general tour on Sunday.

First time to Rome Thanks

Depends what you enjoy looking at or want to see. I would completely skip the ship tours and do the Vatican, St Peters, and an evening dinner and stroll to the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps. And Sunday do the Forum area and see many of the beautiful and historic churches in that area. If you want more information let me know.
