Convenience store near Galveston port?

Hello,

 

Our family is flying in to Houston Hobby on the day of our cruise then taking taxi to Galveston port. I would like to pick up a couple of 12 packs of soda before I board the ship. Was wondering if there are any convenience stores within walking distance of cruise terminal?

There may be stores on the Strand you may be able to purchase supplies, but the closest market is Arlans which is not within walking distance.

There are plenty of stores and marts not far from the pier. When you are coming into Galveston on I-45, just after you come over the bridge there is a big exit sign for the cruise terminal.

 

Don't exit there. Instead, just stay straight and you'll start seeing a bunch of them. After you get what you need, just take a left and you'll dead into the pier area. Your detour will only take 10 minutes at most

 

If that sounds confusing, it's not. Google a map of Galveston and you'll see what I mean.

Thanks for the responses. I have tried google maps and I do see the shops at the Strand. Closer to the cruise terminal I only see a Starbucks and a fish market.
