tinker 4 Posted February 2, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 2, 2016 (edited) I have stayed in this suite on the EPIC. How is it on the Getaway? I know the balcony is not that deep. But can you enjoy it? How is the rest of the cabin eg shower tub and bed. Do you have enough room to have dinner in your room? Are they all the same or is one room bigger than the others? For those of you that have stayed in the SPA suite did you think that it was worth it or did you think that you should have gotten the 2 bedroom suite? thanks for your help Edited February 2, 2016 by tinker

We were torn deciding between the Spa Suite and a forward penthouse. Both were the same price. We decided on the penthouse because its more room and we like having a separate living area. Lots of spa tubs onboard and in the Haven.
vicocala Posted February 2, 2016 #3 Share Posted February 2, 2016 (edited) We have a jetted garden tub in our home which is bigger. That said, we loved the spa suite. The Getaway is so large with so many people we loved the ability to get away from the masses. No fighting for a place in a tub, no children running around and the spa was peaceful and relaxing. Even the Haven was overrun with children so it was our place of bliss. The balcony is very narrow though, but that was the only drawback. But you could still sit out there. The table is very small so we didn't try to eat in-room and was discouraged by the butler from trying it. He was correct, it would of been very crowded. Automation Posted February 2, 2016 #4 Share Posted February 2, 2016 We loved the Spa Suite. Access to the Haven and spa. Room is nice but not huge. Balcony is small, but usable. Good size bathroom with multiple shower heads.:) You mention the two bedroom suites. If you have more than 2 people in the room, than a 2 bedroom may be better. BeachDreamer2022 Posted February 2, 2016 #5 Share Posted February 2, 2016 In January we staying in the Getaway Spa Suite room 14128. We used the jacuzzi tub daily and loved having it in our room. It really added to our spa experience but be forewarned it was really only big enough for one. It didn't take long to fill the tub and the water was always hot enough. The king sized bed was very comfortable and the bedding was great quality. Our room was very quiet and we weren't bothered by any neighboring rooms. It seemed as you entered the spa section of the corridor on deck 14 it was scented with a relaxing fragrance . We found the balcony to be sufficient. It was only big enough for two padded chairs and a small table but we just propped our feet on the table if we wanted to lay back. It was our first cruise and we were beyond satisfied with this room. We didn't mind or room not being in the Haven proper. The location of the spa suites were close to the stairs and elevator and gave us quick access to the spa and the Haven. On our cruise we found the thermal suite to be more crowded than the Haven sun deck or courtyard but the weather wasn't always sunny and pleasant so that may have added to the crowd in the spa. Even though the thermal suite was busy it was still a relaxing retreat and we visited it daily. I'll try to add some pictures of our room.

tinker 4 Posted February 3, 2016 Author #8 Share Posted February 3, 2016 Thank you all. It does not look like there is much room in the cabin. BeachDreamer2022 - thanks for the pictures. Did you find that you had enough room in the cabin? The bed looks tight to the wall.
BeachDreamer2022 Posted February 3, 2016 #9 Share Posted February 3, 2016 I'm not sure what your needs are in regards to room size but we found the room size to be satisfactory. In the entryway there is a closet with plenty of hangers and across from the closet were floor to ceiling shelving and drawers. We were over packers and had enough room to store our belongings and clothing. To help give you reference on how close the bed was to the wall, on either side of the bed there are nightstands that were the same size. The only sitting area in the room is across from the jacuzzi tub and it is a small chaise lounge style couch. Hope this info helps.
