Briitini Posted February 8, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 8, 2016 Is the water warm enough to swim in? We leave in 2 weeks and I am worrying about that :)

hawk1972 Posted February 8, 2016 #3 Share Posted February 8, 2016 We swam at Passion Island last week and it was a little cool but once you got in it was fine. Lots of people were swimming.

Mrs.Gosse Posted February 8, 2016 #5 Share Posted February 8, 2016 It was pretty cool last week. I didn't go all the way in but lots of people were. In 2 weeks it will probably be a lot better. Closer to their summer which is march.
Mrs.Gosse Posted February 8, 2016 #6 Share Posted February 8, 2016 81°F at Santa Rosa wall yesterday. Pretty sure that's the air temp.
smokinmike Posted February 9, 2016 #7 Share Posted February 9, 2016 (edited) No - that's the water temperature at the Santa Rosa Wall read off my dive computer. Air temp at the dive entry was 73°F. After a one hour surface interval we dove Los Tormentos and the water temp was 79°F. Air temp on that entry was 75°F. What I'm saying is that you will not be cold in the water but you will be chilly upon exit - especially since the current weather conditions include a 15-25 MPH wind from the north.
