swh&cv Posted March 7, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 7, 2016 Hi everyone! We have been faithful cruisers to only Celebrity for the past 10 years! We love it, however, sometimes their itineraries are too long for us working people. We have decided to take Ruby Princess to the Mexican Riviera. We love great good, enjoying tastings, wine pairing, chefs tastings. Does Princess offer fine dining? Hoping Princess does not dissappoint.[emoji3]
debkaysmith Posted March 7, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 7, 2016 You will enjoy Princess if you love Celebrity. There are similarities in dining, entertainment, and onboard ambiance. We like them both equally, though give a slight nod to Celebrity for food and quieter evenings.

As soon as you board, call the reservations line and sign up for the Chef's Dinner. Also try the Crown Grill and Salty Dog specialty restaurants. Check out the menu and price for the Chef Curtis Stone specialty restaurant called Share to see if you would still be interested in trying that venue. We did a 15 day cruise on the Ruby Princess last month and decided not to try Share. Apparently many felt the same way as we never saw more than a handful of people eating there. The main dining room food was quite good in our opinion.
rjg41 Posted March 7, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 7, 2016 One thing you will find different unless things have changed very recently is that you will not hear "Bingo starts in 5 minutes" and things like that on Celebrity but you will on Princess. We like Princess but food is good but not as, to use your words, "fine.
