VitaminDLover Posted March 9, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 9, 2016 Hey all! We are sailing on the Freedom next month and I have a quick question. There is one couple in our group that purchased FTTF, but are debating cancelling it since nobody else has it and we all want to board together. My question is this...if we have the 10-10:30 check in time can anyone tell me approximately what time you were able to board and what time your room was ready? I know that the rooms will be "ready by 4" but I'm curious as to whether or not you got in sooner than that to drop off carry-on bags!
springs741 Posted March 9, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 9, 2016 Rooms are ready about 1:30. No one can tell you what time you will board. There are too many variables. They can share their own experiences. I have always purchased FTTF before we became platinum. I live 45 mins from Galveston and arrive at the port by 10. I have boarded the ship as early at 10:30 and as late at 12:30. Check in time is not boarding time. With a 10:00 check in time you will get a low boarding number. You should board right after Wedding, Diamond, Platinum, Suite and FTTF. I know that sounds like a great number of people before you but it moves fast. Don't stress and enjoy your cruise
isaiahsnana Posted March 9, 2016 #3 Share Posted March 9, 2016 Was on the Triumph last Thursday. Had a 10:30 time but arrived at 11:10 due to Houston traffic, walked straight through with no waiting anywhere and we were all on board by 11:45 - rooms were ready as soon as we devoured our Guys Burgers. mithterkev Posted March 10, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 10, 2016 We just got off the Freedom Saturday. We had a 10-10:30 check-in time. Got there about 9:45 and walked right through lines and we were in Zone #1. But we didn't board until about 12:30.

besito20 Posted March 10, 2016 #6 Share Posted March 10, 2016 We sail on the Freedom next week. We have FTTF and our friends don't and we have the same boarding time. If I remember, I will come back to let you know how it went for us. :)
PAPERBKWRITER Posted March 10, 2016 #7 Share Posted March 10, 2016 OP We are platinum so we have early access to our cabin. When friends travel with us everyone drops their carry on in our room and we head for lido and lunch. If you have one FTTF you could do that. Don't stress and enjoy your cruise I think there are quite a few assumptions in your response! I only asked people to share their recent experiences. I understand, as I stated, that every cruise is different. I also understand the difference between checkin and boarding. I'm not stressed, just simply trying to help my friend! Thanks for your response!
VitaminDLover Posted March 10, 2016 Author #9 Share Posted March 10, 2016 Thank you to those of you that shared your experiences! She's just trying to decide whether or not it's worth keeping since they want to board with us and we have no tender ports.

Mytime2014 Posted March 14, 2016 #12 Share Posted March 14, 2016 No experience yet - but with 2 cabins, we had decided if one got it and the other did not, we would board however they let us and then put everything in the cabin that had FTTF [does that make sense?]
freedomcruiser891 Posted March 14, 2016 #13 Share Posted March 14, 2016 We just got off freedom yesterday. Boarding began around 11:10 for priority and zone 1 began around 11:20ish. I know this can vary but Galveston usually keeps it pretty consistent.
