anytime dining VS set time?

I have had very good luck with YTD. I've used it since its introduction. My wife and I have had six Carnival cruises with YTD and have never had a wait and we've done three more with family members ranging from six to ten people and the longest wait has been about 20 - 25 minutes for the ten top. They usually put five two tops together to accommodate us.

If you want to eat at the traditional dining times you will have a longer wait. If you want the same waitstaff each night you may have longer waits. If you are flexible then you will not have a problem.

Take care,

Mike

We much prefer ATD, and have done it since it's inception on every cruise line we've sailed. We request a table for 2, and we haven't usually had much of a wait, if any. Longest has been maybe 1/2 hour, but we just got a beeper, found a bar, and had a cocktail while we waited. No biggy.

Bummer on our upcoming Princess cruise in Japan - only fixed dining! :(
