jrm9999 Posted March 22, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 22, 2016 Today in Grand Cayman we tried to buy some Blackbeards rum. We were told they do not sell to Disney passengers. Anyone ever heard of this? The place was in the duty free complex just accross the street from the North terminal and was sort of combined with a Cigar shop.

mrsfuzzmo Posted March 25, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 25, 2016 Hmmm, very interesting. We've purchased BBD Rum and had it delivered to our cruise ship to be picked up on the last night of the cruise. But years ago, we purchased BBD Rum from the shop and carried it onto the ship with us. This was a Disney cruise, and at the time, DCL allowed alchohol carry-ons. They've recently revised their carry-on policies I've read, so perhaps that's the reasoning. Maybe they don't have the authorization to deliver to the DCL ships yet since the change. Kmix78 Posted March 25, 2016 #5 Share Posted March 25, 2016 I thought you could carry it on, but DCL would "keep it safe" for you until debarkation at the home port. Is that still the case? Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
capricorn548 Posted April 2, 2016 #6 Share Posted April 2, 2016 I would assume it's because the name of the rum is big, black dick? lol Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app

jrm9999 Posted April 2, 2016 Author #8 Share Posted April 2, 2016 There is a line with that name but there are many other rums without it like the gold, dark, spiced, coconut, etc. http://blackbeards.ky/blackbeards-products/
