Setting Sail on Dec 31

Hi all!

We are thinking about booking a last minute on the Grand, that sails on Dec. 31.

Since the first nights aboard are rather informal, I'm wondering how Princess will see in the New Year. Will the informal be switched to formal?? Or does anyone know what sort of celebrations will be planned?

Thanks!

Nancy

We are leaving on the Sapphire on 12/31 but doubt it will be a formal night. Last year, we were on the Coral Princess and New Years Eve was not a formal night. Many people still dressed up that night, but it was optional. Ships are so much fun on New Years. Celebrations are everywhere and there is a big balloon drop in the atrium.
