scottie-goes-crusin Posted May 14, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 14, 2016 (edited) We were on the Carnival Victory from Canaveral. Our first stop was HMC. The Victory was scheduled to leave Canaveral at 6pm, due to ship ongoing ship improvements. I purchased FttF, so I could get on board early enough to pick a cabana far enough down the beach away from the crowds.. We were able to get #13 with#11&12 being our first choices we were on the first tender and on the island by 8 am They drove us to our cabana in an open air truck, then slowly they brought the supply's to the cabana exactly what we expected from seeing other reviews:) yes Im very sunburnt:eek: the only downside was that the shower did not work someone broke the pvc pipe to the spray fan so they turned off the water. I tried turning it back on (small valve just past hose bib) but the water streamed on deck towards the electrical outlet.. so no shower.. one of the reasons i booked :( I wanted to be able to wash the salt water off me then change into shorts and not wear a saltwater-infused wet bathing suit beautiful Island going back on our feb cruise would get a cabana againt to have relief from the sun someone who goes there, please tell me they fixed the pipe..at 2:30 pm they were looking for something to repair it, but they were on island time Edited May 14, 2016 by scottie-goes-crusin

Hribal Posted May 20, 2016 #4 Share Posted May 20, 2016 Very nice. Knowing what you know now, would you still pict #13 or would you opt for another cabana? I would like to be close enough to the music and bathrooms however I don't want to be around a lot of people hanging around. Thanks for sharing your pictures! scottie-goes-crusin Posted May 21, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted May 21, 2016 We went to the excursion desk with a list in our heads of which cabana's in order we wanted. With 11 then 12 being first. 13, 14 & 15 are so close together I don't think it really matters. I read that the crew tends to gather right past 15 and can play loud music. We saw some of that. But they were a bit down the beach. If you want to hear the music from bar, and be near the restrooms, I might try 7 or 8. But the lower the number, the closer to the dock, the more people between your cabana and the water. We had prob 50 or so chairs in our vicinity.. Maybe 10 had people in them.
