Hi everyone,

Has anyone ever had one of these? And if so, what is it and how did you like it? The 50 minute massages on the first sea day are already booked. We are cruising on the Grand by the way if that makes a difference:)

thanks,

Shiatsu is an Asian accupressure technique and if done well can provide good relief from aches and pains as well as rejunvenate your body. It is typically done dry (no oil) and your experience will depend much on the massuse. I've had both good and bad shiatsu massages. Ask for one experienced in the technique. Hope it works well for you.:D

As Topaz has pointed out, Shiatsu uses an acupressure technique. This means that it is a very soft, gentle massage generally done on a futon while you are fully clothed. If you are looking for the more traditional massage, rather go for Swedish (using oil) or Aromatherapy (using a choice of essential oils like lavendar or ylang ylang). Personally I liked the Shiatsu, but prefer the Swedish/Aroma.
