torchd Posted May 22, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 22, 2016 The g/f and I will be cruising the Southern Caribbean in 9/2016 (St. Maarten, St. Kitts, Antigua, St. Lucia and Barbados) and we want to snorkel at all these islands. It looks like from doing some research, there are some great charters out there, but they seem geared a little more towards scuba divers, they do offer snorkeling, but the question is will it be worth it? St. Maarten: http://octopusdiving.com/snorkel-tours/private-snorkel-charters/ St. Kitts: http://www.divestkitts.com/snorkel_trips.asp Antigua: NO IDEA FOR THIS ONE YET St. Lucia: http://www.stlucia.org/listings/iyanola-dive-ventures/250/ Barbados: http://www.westsidescuba.com/about.htm
booknerd2011 Posted May 23, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 23, 2016 St Kitts the dives were pretty shallow. Maybe not more than 30-40 feet. I think you would have a good experience snorkeling there. We used dive St Kitts. They were great.
booknerd2011 Posted May 23, 2016 #3 Share Posted May 23, 2016 We've also dove in both St Lucia and St Maarten with both of the same companies. I really can't speak for the snorkeling, but the companies were great. Our least favorite was our experience in St Lucia, however they did take us out to the pitons... It was a long boat ride. BellaWave Posted July 17, 2016 #4 Share Posted July 17, 2016 St. Kitt Snuba was a great excursion. My family participated, including my 11 year old. Similar to diving, but It does not require dive certification. Better then just snorkeling because you can go 30-40 feet deep and stay under for the entire dive (about 30+ minutes under water) A bus picked us up and dropped off at pier. It took about 20 minutes to get to beach site, which had a cafe and bar. The cost (booked on board -Oasis of Seas) $94.00 Sent from my iPhone using Forums

TrqoisWtrs Posted July 26, 2016 #6 Share Posted July 26, 2016 OP - are you set on a boat snorkel? We got a day pass at the St. Kitts Marriott for $35 and the snorkeling was pretty good off their beach. It was a short cab ride from the pier. http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/skbrb-st-kitts-marriott-resort-and-the-royal-beach-casino/
