Carnival Elation lost power

I searched to see if this had been posted yet and didn't see a thread...

 

Looks like the Elation lost propulsion overnight.

at least it was overnight, so not to disturb most passengers.

It doesn't seem unusual for cruise ships to temporarily lose power.

 

We sailed on the Disney Magic and the aft end of the ship was without power for 4 hours when we left Port Canaveral. It was a PITA but it happens.

People apparently got their life jackets and went to muster stations? Then complained that it seemed to be unorganized!
