We have several cabins side by side, and I'm wondering if it's possible to open up any kind of dividers out on the balconies, making one large® balcony space?

It depends on your steward. We have opened them in the past with no issue on the Epic and Getaway, but others have reported that they were told no.

The technology exists - they open. I would try tipping the steward.

NCL has forbidden opening the dividers fleetwide, but as others have said, some stewards will allow (or even help with) that.

It's good information to have. On other lines, we have only had to go down to guest services and ask. We'll check with our room steward.
