Deep Sea fishing in Western Carribean?

Hello everyone!

 

My 16 year old wants to do a deep sea fish shore excursion when we are on the VOS 1/28/06. Has anyone done this? Plus do you have any suggestions?

I have deep sea fished, taking a group of 7 with me. EVERYONE had a blast. Your experience will be based on:

 

Quality of the boat, captain, and deck mate. And of course those fishing with you (some are careless with their hooks, have too much to drink, get sea sick...you probably can see what I mean).

 

So take the time to research a well run company and the boat does matter!

If you can find a total of about 4 people, you could get your own boat from a private charter and save money. Otherwise you will probably just have to go with the ship excursion if they have one.:)
