Does anyone know if any of the resorts that have day passes offer beach activities like parasailing, jet ski, etc by vendors on the beach? I will be traveling with teenagers who don't want to just lay on the beach.

Both Cable beach (public and Melia) as well as cabbage beach have independent vendors for parasailing and jet ski's. Your teens will need a valid drivers license to drive a jet ski. The jet ski vendors are not authorized by the hotels, and usually are not registered or insured. Gov't has been trying to shut them down. There are many accidents with these machines. Some fatal. Make sure you bring along lots of cash for the hospital bill. Hospitals will not take your insurance.

Accidents because the machines are unregulated and unsafe or because clueless people attempt things that are dangerous?

We drive jet skis here at home and would have to think that there can't be that much difference.

Both... some vendors are unscrupulous as well. They rent to underage drivers, drunks, or anyone with $$$. Plus the machines have actually SUNK while out in the water. No regard for safety or others in the water. If you drive at home I'll bet your not in a heavy traffic area or doing tricks where 100's of people are swimming.
