Cahal Pech VS Xunantunich

When initially planning our cruise my husband and I had decided to go on the Xunantunich excursion while in Belize. It had a ton of fabulous reviews and photos that really got us excited to try this excursion. And we really have our hearts set on seeing some Mayan ruins on this cruise.

 

Now that excursions are beginning to become available to purchase for our February 2017 cruise I see a Mayan ruin tour called Cahal Pech, which I've never heard of and only has 9 reviews available. While all the reviews were favorable, the photos looked "less fun and exciting" than Xunantunich.

 

Xunantunich is not available for purchase at this time, and I am beginning to wonder if it will be available at all.

 

Would really love some feedback from you all. Would you book the Cahal Pech tour or hold out in hopes that Xunantunich will eventually become available? For those of you who have done both tours, which did you like best?

I'd wait for Xunantunich. It's pretty awesome sitting on top of 200 ft tall ruins with you feet hanging over the edge and no safety barriers or railings at all...lol
