georgiabelle Posted October 24, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 24, 2005 Well, we have just booked the Carnival Miracle for Dec 11 - we NEVER wait this close in to book, and now I am in scramble mode to get ready! This is our 6th Cruise (5th on Carnival) and we are pretty "old hat" at this now - Is there anyone else out there going to be on this sailing with us? Can anybody give me an idea of where the port is in relation to the city, so that I can go ahead and book a hotel for the night before? So much to do, so little time! Who am I kidding? I love this part!
DFritz Posted October 24, 2005 #2 Share Posted October 24, 2005 We have a small thread started on the roll call forum. We haven't had many respond that they will be on this sailing. We have a group of eight in our booking that will be onboard with you. Four of us are staying the night before at the Chase Suites. They offer breakfast the next morning as well as park and shuttle service. We were able to get a room rate of $102.00 per night and that is for two bedrooms, two baths, kitchen , living room with fireplace. Hope to see you visit our roll call thread. MamaMicki Posted October 24, 2005 #3 Share Posted October 24, 2005 Hello all That's a great deal! We aren't going until Jan.8. Does that include a ride from the airport and to the pier? Also how did you book it? Thanks for your time. Take Care!

DFritz Posted October 24, 2005 #5 Share Posted October 24, 2005 Hello allThat's a great deal! We aren't going until Jan.8. Does that include a ride from the airport and to the pier? Also how did you book it? Thanks for your time. Take Care! We booked directly through the Chase Suites website. The website states that the transportation is included in the cost. I tried booking one week at the rate of $159.00 but my computer was giving me fits. A week later the price was $102.00 for four adults in this suite so I grabbed it. georgiabelle- Wanted you to know that there are two Miracle 12/11/05 threads so check out both. Dorothy Dorothy, would you let me know how you liked Chase Suites after you get back from the cruise? I am thinking of booking that Ship & Shore package also ~ sounds like a good deal. I would like to know about the grounds, also: pool, tennis court, etc. Thanks, and enjoy your cruise!

wherewillIgonext Posted November 1, 2005 #8 Share Posted November 1, 2005 Georgiabelle, I am so sorry for not responding to your post on my thread, I kindof jumped ship for the other thread, not many people had responded to mine. Please drop a line on the other thread we would love to hear from you. You can locate it by: date and time my last post was 10/31 @ 930pm you may have to go back a few pages. thanks. I will have to let DFritz know, We chose to stay @ the Chase Hotel the day between our cruises @ $102 for 4 people, But the rate for shuttle to the port is $159. I contacted the hotel and was told the $102 rate was without transportation. There is a special rate code bringing the price to $159, that includes the shuttle to the port, shuttle to/from airport was free. Basically there is a charge for this shuttle service, a higher room rate. I found out that Alamo and National will provide free shuttle to and from port if renting a car from them, which we are doing before, in-between, and after.
