Waterslides open when board the ship?

We are sailing on the Magic on Saturday!! :):) Quick question-- are the waterslides open when we board? If so, I will have the kids wear their swim suits for boarding.

Generally yes. Weather permitting.

They were definitely open on embarkation day for us on Sunshine last month.

They were closed for cleaning the afternoon we boarded on Dec. 6, 2015.

Our then-10yo was on the water slides while we were still docked, and thought it was the coolest thing to be on them as we pulled out of port. Of course, that was 3 years ago on the Freedom out of Fort Lauderdale. Not sure what the variables might be. I'd suit them up 'just in case' but that's just me - or at least have suits in the carry on. Good luck!
