Port of Miami and Enterprise downtown

Flying into FLL the day before cruise and staying in Miami/South Beach. We will pick up the rental car at FLL ($45.22 for an SUV) and keep it till the next morning. I am wanting to drop everyone/everything off at the port and then return the car to the 2nd Ave, downtown (Hyatt) location.

 

I am curious if anyone has ever done this and if it was smooth sailing, issues or tips they could share?
