metwo Posted October 24, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 24, 2005 I would like a very quiet cabin room. I have a choice of plaza, continental or sky deck. Which is the quietest deck? Also, has anyone stayed on the plaza deck? Is the casino above the room and near the theatre very noisy? Is the deck below the pool quieter or louder. Please, I need recommendation and am looking for anwhere from Category 6 to 12.
Susan-M Posted October 24, 2005 #2 Share Posted October 24, 2005 This was posted by one of our CC members following our cruise on the Millennium in Sept: " If anyone's booked cabin 3061 (inside cabin), be sure you're a sound sleeper. Every - I mean EVERY - night between 11pm and 2am, the staff practiced rolling barrels (or tables) above our heads." Their room was below the casino. We were on the Deck 8 and happy with the location. It's usually safe to book a cabin between two decks of cabins, rather than having a cabin under a public space. Although many people have posted that their cabin under a public space was fine.
celtic selke Posted October 24, 2005 #3 Share Posted October 24, 2005 One cruise, we had a cabin a few decks up over the opening where the harbor pilot gets on. For the life of me, I don't know what that is called. Anyway, a lot of noise seemed to accompany that particular activity. But you probably wouldn't be able to tell where that door was anyway. The banging would wake us up if we were pulling into port very early, but it was not a major thing. celtic
