Excited about Sun Nov.6 Cruise

LTC

Recommended Posts

On Monday, booked an H guarantee cabin on the Sun's Nov. 6th cruise because the price was so good. Today got an upsell call from NCL and for $300. more went to an AE mini-suite. DH and I are so excited-never have stayed in a mini-suite before. I know Shoreguy has answered this question many times before, but what amenities are in a AE category? We have stayed in a balcony cabin on the Sun and the balcony chairs are uncomfortable-- are they the same type of chair or more comfortable? Do we get priority tendering , if so, do we tip the concierge?:) :)

I will be traveling on the Sun in February and have never been on a cruise. I am interested in snorkeling, seeing lots of various sealife, and would be interested in any suggestions for tour operators in Belize. The tour that is offered there for my group is tubing, but I'd much rather snorkel or kayak somewhere. Any suggestions? I have booked Playa Mia Beach Park at the stop in Cozumel. What is the snorkeling like there? and what is the fee for kayaking? Any help for tour suggestions in Belize, Cozumel, or Costa Maya would be appreciated. Thanks!

Belize:

For a change from beaching and snorkeling, I suggest seeing some of the excellent Mayan ruins. In Dec 2004, we did the Lamanai-New River Tour and loved it. It is an all-day tour involving a bus ride, then a speed boat down the New River (great fun and MANY stops to view birds and other wildlife (including on our trip - a baby alligator). The ruins at Lamanai are excellent.

Have a great cruise! We loved ours so much we are back on the Sun in Jan 2006.

We, too, are very much looking forward to this cruise. This will be our first visit to the now 2 ports. Hate to hear of all the damage in Cozumel though. But, personally, we will enjoy the sea days. Still, we would not be disappointed if they added atleast one more port. But I doubt we'll get that ecspecially as soon as we are scheduled to sail!

Hi, tjosh 7,

It was $150. per person. We think it was a super deal. I know that we are only going to two ports, but we don't mind spending the extra day aboard ship.:) :)

Wow - you lucked out. With that kind of an upgrade, an extra day at sea does not look too bad at all. Have a great cruise!

WOW!!!

We have been in close contact with our TA who has been talking to NCL almost daily - we are currently in a BA hoping for a nice upsell, so this is really encouraging. TA tells us not to expect anything until 2 weeks before (we leave on the 27th of Nov.)

THANKS AGAIN!!!
