Question about profile editing

Sorry that this question isn't specifically about cruises, but I'm new to these forums, and can't find a place for this question.

In many of your posts I see a countdown timer, and I've figured out how to create one of my own, but what I don't know what to do is where to place it. Does it have to do with your signature? If it does, is there any special codes or anything that is required to make it show up?

Go into "Edit Signature" in your Profile and paste the timer in there.

Maybe I'm not totally understanding how this works. Here is the link I have for what I want.

When I put it into the signature, it shows exactly what you see, not the timer. What am I doing wrong?
