simatravel Posted October 28, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 28, 2005 Hello everybody. We will be in Barbados on Nov 22. We are cruising with 2 kids (7 and 1). Any suggestions on what to on our own. We are thinking a little sightseeing and some beach time. Shoud we use taxis? Thank you in advance. Eugene
SqueakyDust Posted October 28, 2005 #2 Share Posted October 28, 2005 You may be better off trying to book a short tour so a child seat maybe arranged for your 'baby'. You could then pick exactly where you want to go and not have to barter over extending the tour etc. There is a Wildlife Reserve which may interest the kids and of course you could get dropped off at a beach. MOMofONE Posted October 31, 2005 #4 Share Posted October 31, 2005 The Boatyard is a good family beach with a short cab drive from pier. Beach has raft/trampoline in water and rope swing + additional cost jetskis etc for the entertaining the older child. Chairs and an umbrella included in cost ($10 pp A $5 p child over 5? - portion back in tokens for bar/food?) Plus there are bathrooms, changing facilities, gift shop etc on premises. Do a search for "Boatyard" in this thread for more info & reviews. Though I agree, perhaps arranging a private tour with driver to take you to the wildlife reserve then drop off at beach may get the most out of your port time with not too much time frying in the sun with the little ones. :)
